Logistics Hub

To augment logistics facilities in Madhya Pradesh, MPSIDC and CONCOR (Container Corporation of India) had signed a memorandum of understanding in 2002. The CONCOR has established a dry port or Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Mandideep industrial area (near Bhopal). Two other CONCOR run dry ports are operational at Malanpur and Indore.

Apparel Park

The Union Government of India has launched "Apparel Park for Export" to encourage readymade garment manufacturing units that follow world-class standards. There is a plan to set up Apparel Parks at Malanpur, Pithampur and Jabalpur. State government has forwarded project reports/proposals for Malanpur and Jabalpur to Government of India. The Jabalpur Park will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 30 crore while Malanpur Park will be developed with an estimated cost of Rs 29 crore. The Union government will grant 75% of the total amount invested on these parks the rest of the 25% will be state share. State government will declare nodal agency at a later stage for the purpose. A common affluent treatment plant is also being developed at Apparel Park proposed in Special Economic Zone (SEZ) on Build-Own-Operate (BOT) basis. Two companies have been short listed by floating Expression of Interest. The process of floating tenders is in progress.

Textile Centre Infrastructure Development Scheme (Tcids)

The Ministry of Textiles has launched this scheme to develop infrastructure at prime textile growth centres. Indore is the prime hub for textile industry. A readymade garment complex is being developed at Pardeshipura in Indore. A proposal in this regard is under consideration at department of commerce and industries. The proposed complex will be developed with an investment of Rs 17 crore on an area of 16.274 hectare.
